Meet AGC

Jannes is Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for overseeing all financial and operational matters related to the management company and its funds, including compiling financial reports, implementing business strategies and optimising operational capabilities. He works very closely with the investment team, providing support and oversight of portfolio management and monitoring of all investments in both developed and emerging markets.

He has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, this includes transactional due diligence, external audit, and business restructuring. Before joining AGC, he worked as an audit manager at BDO LLP. This included a secondment to BDO corporate finance where he performed financial due diligence for corporate transactions.

He started his career at Mazars, South Africa in various roles across the audit and business restructuring department in sectors including asset management, manufacturing, and real estate.

Jannes holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and law as well as a bachelor’s (honours) degree in accounting from the University of Stellenbosch. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
