AGC Makes the ImpactAssets 50 List for 2020

Advance Global Capital Ltd has been selected as one of 50 funds in the ImpactAssets 50 2020 list. This list is the industry’s first publicly available, online database for impact investors, family offices, financial advisors and institutional investors that features a diversified listing of private capital fund managers that deliver social and environmental impact as well as financial returns.

London, 25 February 2020 – Advance Global Capital Ltd is delighted to announce that its flagship fund has been selected for the ImpactAssets 50 (IA 50) list for the second year running. This publicly available database is the first tool for impact investors to gain more insight into social and/or environmental impact-focused fund managers that offer solid investment aligned with their values. Applications are reviewed by a Review Committee of veteran Impact Investors.

“Advance Global Capital was launched after the ‘Great Recession’ with the aim of supporting small businesses around the world in need of short-term working capital,” commented Janet McKinley, the Founder and Principal Investor of Advance Global Capital. “Since then, we have financed over $2.5 billion of SME invoices and delivered a good, non-correlated return for investors. I am grateful for the hard work and trust that has made this possible.” The IA 50 2020 saw a record number of Private Debt and Equity fund manager applications. Managers who met the IA 50’s in-depth review criteria manage an estimated $39.8 billion in assets devoted to creating measurable, positive impact, up from $26.9 billion in 2019. Emerging impact managers direct nearly $400 million into cutting edge strategies and high impact investments.

“The IA 50 is a proven and trusted way for investors to start exploring a subset of managers that are already working in this area and determining what interesting impact investments an investor can make today,” said Sandra Osborne Kartt, Director, Investments, ImpactAssets. “We are excited by growing investor appetite as well as the diverse array of impact themes and strategies represented by this year’s list.” The list presents varied and reliable funds based in North & South America, Europe and Africa. The fund managers that appeared in the list represent a diverse selection of geographies and asset classes including Private Equity, Private Debt, and Real Assets. What sets AGC apart from its peers is its globally diversified portfolio, non-correlated returns, as well as the measurable impact targeting very small (and women-led) businesses and aligning with UNSDGs 5, 8 and 9.

The database is produced by ImpactAssets, which is a non-profit financial services firm that increases the flow of capital into investments delivering financial, social and environmental returns. ImpactAssets’ $1.1 billion Donor Advised Fund and field-building initiatives enable philanthropists, other asset owners and their wealth advisors to advance social or environmental change through impact investment and philanthropy.
