Advance Global Capital Ends 2014 with Success

As we come to the end of 2014, we would like to thank our principal investors and partners for helping Advance Global Capital (AGC) deliver positive social and economic impact while achieving attractive commercial returns. By focusing our attention on SMEs we have been able to bring local change to frontier markets across the globe.

Advance Global Capital Ends 2014 with Success

Support for Women-Owned Businesses

As part of our initiative to improve the economic conditions of the countries in which we invest, AGC has partnered with and made a donation to the organization SHE-ERA in Kosovo.

SHE-ERA is a non-governmental organization established after the Balkan conflict of 1999 for the purpose of the economic empowerment of women and to promote women entrepreneurs. The areas in which the organization works correspond to the post-conflict needs of the country. The organization conducts research and analysis of the position of women and supports local governmental institutions to apply political and legal frameworks that promote gender equality and the involvement of Kosovar women in political, social, economic and cultural spheres.

Since its establishment, SHE-ERA has completed more than fifty projects at the local and regional level, provided training in business, consulting, research, analysis and mentoring. Over 11,000 women have benefited from training and the other activities of the organization.

The funds provided by AGC will be dedicated to providing SHE-ERA’s members with mentoring advice and creating a link between SHE-ERA entrepreneurs and the market to facilitate the economic empowerment of women in Kosovo and increase incomes in local communities.

A Global Network of Local Partners

AGC has contributed to SMEs in North and South America, Asia and Europe and will soon contribute to companies in Africa. We have provided capital for companies in Mexico, India, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Peru, Brazil and, very soon, companies in South Africa and Kenya. Through our activities we have helped businesses in these countries grow and contribute to their local communities.

Our primary objective for 2014 was to identify and build a network of partners around the globe. For 2015, our primary objective is to increase the available funding to our partners, helping them to grow their books of business and balance sheets and strengthen their governance. This will help AGC deliver social impact in the frontier countries in which we work.

Thank you for following us in 2014 and helping us exceed our targets and please continue to follow us in 2015 as we build on our success and grow.
